Growing older at home, with technology designed for you.

LifeTech is a nonprofit in Orange County, California, building aging-in-place technology with older adults rather than for them. We start with what older adults need, design it with them, and stay for the whole journey.

What we are building

Sage is a companion robot for the home: it moves through the house, watches for falls with nothing to wear, and runs its intelligence entirely on hardware inside the home, with no cloud dependency. Sage is in development and no unit has been built.

Why affordability decides the roadmap

Half of Americans over 65 live on less than $33,310 a year. A capability enters our scope when it becomes cheap enough to reach those households, not when it becomes technically possible. That is why LifeTech is a nonprofit.
